Patriarchy, a system that prevails still in 21st century.Apparently it seems like male domination but is it actually so?Yes,of course men are privileged  by this system but if we observe it deeply men are also circumscribed by the system itself just like other genders.This very system itself has created a very rigid definition that which gender should behave in what way.Women and other genders are already marginalized which is very much evident.Let us discuss about the apparently privileged males of the Patriarchal society.                                                                                                                                                                                      Patriarchy,defines that men should be brave,bold with a heart of rock within and immense physical strength,a strength to tackle rather savagely humiliate their wives/wife or any woman.In this regard they are also restricted from giving importance to their emotions.Now the question is that,is it possible for any human being to accept all these provisions of Patriarchy. Firstly,from the view point of social welfare,this can only provide perverted mindsets in society.Secondly,I have a question straight to the men of 21st century,that can you all,through out your life act as heartless monsters very easily or you all will end up with depression or other diseases of that sort.Tears that roll down on your cheeks is not weakness,its strength.Accepting what your emotion says is also not a crime.Being a man and being softer,respecting other genders is also absolutely fine,rather its all about being a gentleman.Let Patriarchy question your masculinity for depending on any other gender or for doing anything that opposes Patriarchal norms.Just do it and let your mind be at peace.                                                                  Patriarchy further makes its limitations in gender roles.In the process of restricting women Patriarchy also restricts men from doing very basic,daily life activities,what we call basic life skills.Cleaning ones own place,cooking,doing these sort of things as a need or as a hobby is all what a girl has to do.There are so many such things what a girl can do but not a man.Men are vested only with their so called official duties rather money making.Just observe the torture that Patriarchal system offers not only to women but also to men.Firstly,men are the countable,prominent rather most important earning member of a family, they can not depend on anybody and most importantly not on any woman for support,especially when it comes to finance.Unfortunately,all days in a man's life can not pass even and smooth,bad times might come.Then,in those bad times a man is prohibited by the patriarchal society norms to ask for help.Any woman even if the man's life partner or simply his mother lend their hands of help,then that man would be symbolized as an epitome of cowardice. Either getting helped or not getting any help,in both the cases society corrodes that particular man's mind through various sorts of direct and indirect humiliation.I think,people living in this particular kind of society can relate very well to what I tried to express.Coming to the life skills, a man is prohibited from doing any such households.Now a days we call cooking is as art.Yes of course cooking is an art and most importantly its a way to live by feeding ourselves.A man can not love cooking,its not his work,right?Then why a man is eating or man loves to eat?If a chef is male then why is he not questioned?If a man happens to stay alone what will he do?Will he starve?If its a daughter,mother will train to cook but its not so for a son,why?I have same questions for other household chores.Moreover,I would like to say,not only me being a girl have such questions,all these questions also arise in the brain of a boy of a sound mental health.Time is changing,circumstances are different.Stop being fossils.If we don't change in terms of equality and hold on to the suffocating Patriarchy it would cause harm.It is so crude a system that it did not leave the so called most privileged gender in peace rather the system overburdened them with several kinds of pressure,tempting with the power of domination and supremacy.Equality of all genders can only put forward a healthy,peaceful society.                                                                                                                                                                        When it comes to Patriarchy,then what comes to our mind is men are dominating on women or other genders.Women are entirely marginalized in the system but if a deep analysis is done then not only the dominated but also the dominating turns out to be the most miserable creature.We never look at other side of the coin and their lies the problem.Men in Patriarchy are totally deprived of any kind of dependency,be it financial,emotional or mental or anything but dependency at any point of life in any aspect is a need.I hope many men or women specially young ones of the present can penetrate through apparent Patriarchy and realize that Patriarchy is misery for all both privileged and under privileged,where equality is a need.
